TYRONE, Pa. —

Investigators confirmed with WJAC-TV that a handgun they believed was involved in a Tyrone shooting over the weekend was recovered.

According to Tyrone police, 30-year-old Wesley Henninger fired several shots from inside a vehicle at his ex-girlfriend and two men standing on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the man’s vehicle was discovered over the weekend and a handgun they believe was used in the shooting was recovered Monday.

No one was injured in the shooting, which police are investigating as an attempted homicide.

Officers described Henninger as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and a medium build.

Police urge people not to approach Henninger, instead call 911 if he is spotted.
