Voting Thoughts

Cambria County —

No matter who you ask, opinions are split. Some are backing the democratic process, while others say the U.S. is trying to impose morals on Iraqi's that they want nothing to do with.

Kourtney King of Johnstown believes Iraq's election was a good idea. "I don't think we're forcing anything. We're putting a guiding hand toward a country that can be a great democracy in our world."

Meanwhile, Greg Brown of State College disagrees. He says "Who are we to go in there and tell them what they should do with their country and say you have to vote, you have to have our style of government?"

It could be awhile until the results from the elections are made known. Until then, people in our region just hope the violence comes to an end real soon.
