Weather May Be Factor In Deadly Plane Crash

Inclement weather may have contributed to a plane crash in Centre County which left one person dead Monday.

Kaul Mitchell Wilson, 21, who was piloting the plane, was killed in the crash near Black Moshannon State Park. Three passengers were critically injured.

All of the persons on board were from Tennessee.

Authorities said Wilson received clearance to land at Midstate Airport before air traffic controllers lost contact with the plane at about noon on Monday.

It took crews nearly seven hours to reach the wreckage because they had to build their own road.

Wilson had been flying under flight instrument rules due to inclement weather.
