Weekend Fire May Affect Sewer Costumers

Cambria County —

Board members spent Tuesday afternoon sifting through the ash for records and also looking for vacant buildings to move to. The fire, which is believed to have started in the sewer authority's office, is still being investigated and the cause it not yet known. But sewer officials tell us, this situation will not be a disaster for their customers.

"We've been here enough years to have a strong foundation so that we know what is going on. As far as that goes, I think we are going to be ok," says board member Willie Kelly.

The company had the majority of customer information at another plant, so most people will not see any confusion with their bills. The sewer authority says this fire does have a silver lining, to teach businesses the importance of keeping backup information in other locations.
