WJAC-TV Viewer Donates 100 Turkeys To Cambria Co. Food Pantry

A local food pantry was able to give away more Thanksgiving turkeys this year thanks in part to a response to a WJAC-TV News report.

In Nanty Glo, The Miner's Community Food Pantry has been in dire need of support and workers feared they would not have enough turkeys this holiday season to feed all of the families that need them.

However, after WJAC-TV aired a news story about the food bank, a viewer came forward and donated 100 turkeys.

On Friday, the food bank is expected to hand out 290 turkeys to needy families.
