BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

The Pennsylvania State police fire marshal is investigating a house fire in Bell Township.

Firefighters from across Clearfield, Jefferson and Indiana counties were called to a home on Bracken Road in Bell Township shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Authorities said a woman found inside the home was pronounced dead at the scene.

Firefighters told 6News that they initially encountered problems with getting water to the scene and the fire spreading through remodeled portions of the home.

Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal Cpl. Chuck Gross told 6 News that the victim was identified as 52-year-old Shawna Marshall.

Officials said that two cats and one dog were also found dead inside of the victims home.

An autopsy was scheduled for Marshall at 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Gross said that they believe the fire started on the first floor of the house.  Officials said that the front room of the home was where Marshall had her bedroom.

Neighbors said that the victim had medical conditions that prevented her from being able to walk.

Officials said that Marshall was the only occupant inside of the home.

Gross said that the home is a total loss.

Firefighters are also looking for a black pomeranian dog that escaped during the fire.  Anyone with information should contact the Mahaffey Fire dept. at 277-6639.
