Workers Will Break Ground On New Wal-Mart

Huntingdon County —

Huntingdon County will finally break ground for their very own Wal-Mart today. It has been six years since the Governor came to Huntingdon County to release farm land used by the State Correctional Institution to Smithfield Township for economic development. Today at 2:00 p.m., the township will break ground to start developing the Smithfield Towne Centre. The anticipated opening for the shopping center is next fall.
