(Pittsburgh-AP) -- Jeriome Robertson earned his ninth straight victory and delivered an R-B-I single as Houston stifled Pittsburgh 2-to-0. Robertson limited the Pirates to three hits over seven and a-third to remain unbeaten since April 25th, a span of 15 appearances. He retired 16 of 17 batters before being lifted after pinch-hitter Adam Hyzdu (HYZ'-doo) singled in the eighth.

Robertson is 10-and-3 after leading the Astros to the first victory in their last five games at Pittsburgh. He also helped Houston stop Jason Kendall's 23-game hitting streak. Kendall went 0-for-4. Robertson put the Astros ahead with a run-scoring hit in the second. Morgan Ensberg followed with a solo blast an inning later, his 19th homer of the season. Both runs came off Salomon Torres, who's 5-and-3 after giving up six hits in six innings. Billy Wagner worked the ninth for his 29th save.
