Bucs Bomb Padres

(Pittsburgh-AP) -- Reggie Sanders homered twice and drove in five runs as the Pittsburgh Pirates clubbed the San Diego Padres 7-to-2. Sanders hit the go-ahead three-run homer in the fourth off loser Brian Lawrence. Brian Giles added a two-run shot in the sixth before Sanders hit his second homer in as many at-bats. Kip Wells walked three over six innings but got the win to improve to 5-and-4. Lawrence dropped to 5-and-13 and Brian Meadows pitched the final three innings for his first save.
