Bucs Lose Fifth Straight

(Houston-AP) -- Jeff Kent and Lance Berkman carried Houston's offense in a 13-to-4 rout of Pittsburgh. Kent went 4-for-5 with five R-B-I's to raise his average to .328. He hit a two-run homer in the sixth, a run-scoring single in the seventh and a two-run double in the eighth.

Berkman had four R-B-I's, including a two-run single in the Astros' five-run eighth. The game was tied at four until Geoff Blum hit a sacrifice fly. Blum added a two-run single in the eighth to finish with three R-B-I's.

The Astros' three-through-six hitters combined to go 10-for-16 with 13 R-B-I's.

Octavio Dotel improved to 2-and-1 while Julian Tavarez dropped to 0-and-2.

Aramis Ramirez and Randall Simon drove in two runs apiece for the Pirates.
