(Chicago-AP) -- Kenny Lofton extended his hitting streak to 25 games as the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Chicago Cubs 9-to-4. Lofton doubled to start a three-run third. Randall Simon and Abraham Nunez each drove in two runs for Pittsburgh while Aramis Ramirez collected four hits and an r-b-i. Kris Benson improved to 5-and-5 giving up four runs on seven hits over seven and two-thirds innings. Matt Clement suffered his fifth straight loss to fall to 2-and-6.
