Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced Friday that the team has re-signed veteran defensemen Brent Bilodeau and Jeff Sullivan. This will be the sixth season with the Chiefs for both players.

"Brent and Jeff are the leaders of our hockey club. Both lead by example in the locker room and on the ice. Johnstown has become a second home for both of them, and the fans of Johnstown have embraced them," said O'Brien.

Bilodeau, 31, is the Chiefs' all-time games played leader with 347. In 2003-04, the Clyde, Alberta native scored 7 goals and 30 points in 70 games for the Chiefs. Bilodeau ranks tenth on the Chiefs' all-time scoring list with 35 goals and 153 points.

Bilodeau joined the Chiefs in 1999 after spending his entire professional career in the American Hockey League and the former International Hockey League. He has been the Chiefs' captain since 2000. Bilodeau was a first round draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens (17th overall) in 1991.

Sullivan, 25, appeared in 66 games for the Chiefs last season posting 15 assists and 282 PIM. The 61, 210 LBS native of Bringus South, Newfoundland was a sixth round pick (146th overall) of the Ottawa Senators in 1997. Sullivan is the Chiefs' all-time penalty minute leader (1,116).

During his five professional seasons, Sullivan has played in 59 AHL games; 58 of them with the former Saint John Flames. Sullivan is a product of the QMJHL where he starred for Halifax and Granby. Sullivan has been the Chiefs alternate captain for the last three seasons.
