ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) - J.R. House went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two runs and Landon Jacobsen pitched seven strong innings as the Altoona Curve beat the Bowie Baysox 4-3 Tuesday night in the Eastern League.

House, the Pittsburgh Pirates' former No. 1 prospect, doubled and scored in the second and third innings as the Curve built a 4-2 lead and never trailed. House has batted .417 in eight games since returning from elbow surgery.

Jacobsen (9-9) held Bowie at bay, maintaining the Curve's two-run lead until being chased in the eighth inning by Josh Hoffpauir's triple and Mike Fontenot's sacrifice fly.

Todd Ozias recorded the final two outs for his 21st save, a new Curve single-season record.

B.J. Littleton had an RBI triple for Bowie, while Ed Rogers had an RBI single.
