(Altoona-AP) -- The New Britain Rock Cats scored twice in the seventh inning and took the lead for good on a wild pitch in a 3-to-2 win over the Altoona Curve Wednesday in the Eastern League. New Britain rallied from 1-to-0 and 2-to-1 deficits to hand Altoona its ninth loss in eleven games.

Terry Tiffee started the seventh-inning comeback with a double before Gabby Torres beat out a bunt. Kevin West singled home Tiffee to tie it at 2-to-2, and Torres' pinch runner, Josh Renick, scored the decisive run on a wild pitch by reliever Mike Johnston.

New Britain starter Brent Schoening moved into a tie for the league lead in wins. Beau Kemp worked earned his ninth save. Mike Connolly took the loss for the Curve.
