Curve Lose To Erie In Series Finale

(Erie-AP) -- Leo Daigle drove in three-runs, including a bases-loaded single in the tenth inning, as the Erie SeaWolves beat the Altoona Curve 7-6 this afternoon.

Erie rallied for two runs against Mike Johnson (5-2), although he only allowed three hits.

Tonayne Brown's groundout in the seventh inning cut the lead to 6-5 and Nook Logan homered in the ninth inning to send the game to extra innings.

Homero Rivera (11-2) held Altoona to one hit in the tenth inning for the win.

The SeaWolves built a 4-0 lead in the first two innings, but Erie starter Adrian Burnside blew the lead, allowing five runs before being chased in the seventh inning.

Shawn Garrett had a two-run triple, while Jose Castillo had a two-run double and an R-B-I single for Altoona.
