(Altoona-AP) -- Shawn Garrett hit a three-run homer and a game-winning groundout as the Altoona Curve beat the New Haven Ravens 9-8 on Wednesday night. Trailing 8-6 in the seventh, Altoona rallied for three runs

against Ravens reliever Jordan DeJong (3-3) to snap a three-game

winning streak.

Ronny Paulino and Kevin Nicholson singled in runs to tie the ame and Garrett followed with an R-B-I groundout to second to score Paulino for the go-ahead run. Garret also homered in the fifth inning to give Altoona a 5-3 lead. Guillermo Quiroz had a pair of home runs for New Haven, including a solo shot as part of the Reven's four-run sixth inning. Shawn Fagan and Alexis Rios had R-B-I singles in the inning.

Mike Johnston (6-2) picked up the win with two innings of relief for Altoona, while Todd Ozias worked the ninth for his 16th save.
