(Akron, Ohio-AP) -- A big win for the Akron Aeros Thursday night at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio. Gary Sizemore had a two-run double in the first inning and a

three-run double in Akron's nine-run third as the Aeros beat the Altoona Curve 13-to-2 in Eastern League action.

Former major-leaguer Paul Rigdon gave up one run on five hits in four innings before giving way to Ryan Larson. Larson got the win on four scoreless innings of relief, giving up just two singles. Loser Sean Burnett gave up eight runs on eight hits in two innings.

Altoona scored on a bases-loaded double play in the first and Joe Caruso's R-B-I single to right field in the ninth.
