(Reading-AP) -- Jorge Padilla hit an R-B-I triple with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Reading Phillies to a 2-to-1 win over the Altoona Curve.

Pinch-runner Nate Espy raced home from first with the winning run as Reading snapped a four-game losing streak on a night when both teams wore retro uniforms to honor the last time their parent clubs won the World Series.

The Phillies wore 1980 uniforms and the Curve wore 1979 Pirates uniforms.

Phillies starter Taylor Buchholz and Curve starter Landon Jacobsen locked up in a scoreless duel for seven innings before turning it over to their bullpens.

Jacobsen allowed five hits and struck out three. Buchholz allowed seven hits and struck out four. Yoel Hernandez earned the win to improve to 4-and-0. Carlos Ruiz tied it for Reading in the eighth with a home run, his first.

Losing pitcher Neal McDade got the first two outs in the ninth inning before walking Aaron McNeal and giving up Padilla's game-winning hit. Ruiz was 3-for-3 for Reading. Ronny Paulino went 3-for-4 for the Curve.
