(Los Angeles-AP) -- Kevin Brown and Cesar Izturis (iz-TOOR'-is) carried Los Angeles past Pittsburgh 3-to-2.

Brown is 3-and-1 after beating the Pirates for the fourth straight time, allowing four hits and eight innings. He hasn't walked a hitter in his last two starts.

Izturis drove in the tiebreaking run with an R-B-I single in the seventh before Alex Cora scored on a fielder's choice later in the inning.

Eric Gagne (GAHN'-yay) struck out two in the ninth en route to his tenth save in as many chances. He allowed an R-B-I grounder to Aramis Ramiez, the first run off him in 16 and a-third innings this season.

Jeff D'Amico took a one-hitter and a 1-to-0 lead into the sixth before faltering. D'Amico is 2-and-3 after giving up two earned runs and five hits in seven frames.
