Expos Avoid Sweep Against Bucs

(Pittsburgh-AP) -- Brad Wilkerson and Edwards Guzman had r-b-i's in a tie-breaking two-seventh inning sending Montreal to a 5-to-2 win over Pittsburgh. Ron Calloway hit a two-run pinch-hit home run in the ninth to help the Expos snap a six-game losing streak.

Montreal ended a 22-game trip that covered 11-thousand-310 miles, 25 days and stretched from Seattle to Montreal's part-time home in San Juan. The Expos return to Montreal for the first time since May 25th. Tomo Okha got the win to improve to 5-and-7, while Solomon Torres dropped to 4-and-2 with the loss.
