Giants Take Series Finale Against Bucs

(Pittsburgh-AP) -- Damian Moss tossed five-hit ball over seven-plus innings as the San Francisco Giants beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-to-1. Barry Bonds returned from missing the previous two games with a sore neck and sparked a three-run third inning with a two-out r-b-i single. Jose Cruz Junior and Andres Galarraga also followed with r-b-i singles off losing pitcher Kris Benson.

Moss has won his first four starts while Benson fell to 2-and-3. Matt Stairs doubled home the Pirates only run in the ninth inning off Tim Worrell, who notched his seventh save. The Giants' 17-and-4 start is their best since moving to San Francisco.
