(Sports Network) - Ricky Williams rushed for a pair of scores and caught a touchdown pass, and Miami held off the Carolina Panthers, 24-17, at Bank of America Stadium. Dolphins defensive back Tyrone Culver knocked down Jake Delhomme's high-arcing prayer pass in the end zone on the game's final play. Williams rushed 22 times for 119 yards and caught two balls for 19 yards. Chad Henne threw for 172 yards and the one touchdown. With Ronnie Brown out the remainder of the season due to a foot injury he suffered during Sunday's win over Tampa Bay, the bulk of the rushing load fell on Williams, and the 2002 NFL rushing leader didn't disappoint. He took matters in his own hands by scoring on a 46-yard run with 3:55 remaining in the fourth quarter, giving Miami (5-5) a 10-point lead. Jon Kasay kicked a 48-yard field goal with 1:41 left to get Carolina within striking distance. Delhomme connected on 19-of-42 passes for 227 yards with a TD and an interception, while DeAngelo Williams had 13 carries for 122 yards. Steve Smith caught seven passes for 87 yards and a touchdown for the Panthers (4-6), who couldn't keep the momentum going from a 28-19 home victory over Atlanta on Sunday.
