Hall Of Famer Roosevelt Brown Passes Away

Hall of Fame tackle Roosevelt Brown passed away on Wednesday at the age of 71.

Brown, an eight-time all-pro starred for the New York Giants from 1953 to 1965 after being selected in the 27th round of the 1953 National Football League Draft.

As a rookie out of Morgan State, Brown quickly established himself as a dominant player with the Giants and earned the starting right tackle position. A position that he held for the next 13 season where he earned All-NFL honors eight straight years from 1956 to 1963.

Brown was a nine-time pro-bowl selection, was named the NFL's lineman of the year in 1956 and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1975.
