San Jose, CA -- (Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks activated forward Torrey Mitchell from injured reserve on Saturday.

Mitchell missed all of the 2008-09 regular season but made four playoff appearances.

In 82 games during the 2007-08 campaign, the 24-year-old posted 10 goals and 20 points.

To make room on the roster, the Sharks assigned forward Steven Zalewski to Worcester of the AHL.
