Shade's Spinelli Approaches 1000 Points

Updated: Tuesday, February 25 2014, 12:41 AM EST

By Pat Welter

If you've played the Shade Girls Basketball team this year, you've most likely left asking, "who was that number eleven?"

That number eleven is Emma Spinelli.  A sophomore guard who is now just ten points shy of one thousand career points.

She's one of the smallest players on court, but one of the first to catch your eye.  Whether its spinning in the lane or taking a hard foul to get a much needed two points, Spinelli does it all.

And after helping fuel a 6 point 4th quarter comeback saturday versus Berlin, her and her teammates find themselves in the District 5 Championship.

Now after you watch that game wednesday you won't be saying "who was that number eleven?" You'll know, that's Emma Spinelli.
