Melanie Gillespie

Reporter

Melanie Gillespie joined 6 News in August 2011 and comes to the Alleghenies from the two Virginias. She was a reporter and producer in Bluefield, W.Va., at the NBC affiliate, WVVA.

She is a native of Pittsburgh and is excited to be back in Steelers territory! Melanie attended Kent State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism with a minor concentration in sports administration in 2010. At Kent, she was an anchor for Portage County's own TV station, TV2.

Melanie is happy to be back closer to home and closer to family. In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends and family, go shopping and explore her surroundings. She loves to hear people's stories and can't wait to uncover what central Pennsylvania has to offer.
