Rich Wisniewski joined 6 News in June of 2012 as the Clearfield County reporter.
It is safe to make the statement that Rich is home. Rich has spent the last year and a half reporting for KMOT in Minot, ND. During that time he reported on the historic 2011 Minot Flood which swallowed up a portion of the city. It was during that time, that Rich found himself as a reporter, honoring the fact that he was one of the reporters who held the responsibility to inform the city on the latest details that those flood affected residents needed to know.
Rich is happy to be back on the east coast. He was born in Philadelphia, and grew up across the Delaware River in Southern New Jersey. Rich graduated from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey with a degree in Journalism. After college he worked as an assignment editor for WCAU in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. That's when he got his job in Minot, ND where he served as a General Assignment Reporter.
Growing up, he was told that he had a personality to be on TV, and now he's glad to have that opportunity to do that on the east coast, and in the state he was born: Pennsylvania.
When not in the newsroom, Rich enjoys working out, watching TV and doing some kind of activity outside. Not much of a cook, he tries to make meals that are edible.
Rich looks forward to reporting here. If you want to say hi, or send some story ideas, feel free to email him at rich.wisniewski@wjactv.com
