Tim began his career with WJAC-TV in November, 1981 as a reporter and weekend sports anchor.

Shortly after that, he began anchoring the 11 pm Sports, Monday through Friday.

In April of 1987, he took over the anchoring duties on the 6 pm Sports segments as well.

In April of 1989, he was named Executive Producer of Sports for WJAC-TV.

In 1994, Tim earned first place honors for his play-by-play from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and the Associated Press.
