When I first got into this business, I did so because I thought it was exciting, interesting, and the gratification from it was instant. You worked like crazy to put on a newscast and then it was over and then you got ready for the next one. Plus, I've gotten to meet some interesting people and done things I probably wouldn't have gotten to do otherwise.

Bill Brown
Channel 6 News Sunrise / Noon Anchor
Bill Brown has been an anchor for Channel Six News at Noon since 1984 and has anchored WJAC-TV's early morning news broadcasts since their inception in 1985.
Bill has seen "News at Sunrise" grow from a 30-minute newscast beginning at 6:30 AM, to today's two-hour broadcast each weekday between 5-7AM.
Bill has also served as a general assignment and feature reporter at WJAC-TV, and has filled in as a sports reporter/anchor on occasion. He has also written and produced nearly a dozen news and sports half-hour specials.
Bill is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Prior to starting at WJAC, Bill worked for the Latrobe Bulletin and Greensburg Tribune Review newspapers, winning three statewide sports writing awards and one Keystone Press Award for news writing.
Bill is married to wife, Kathy. They have a daughter, Abby. The Browns make their home in Ligonier.
