ALTOONA, Pa. -- The host of a popular area morning radio show has died after suffering a stroke.
Steve Frogman Kelsey, whose real name was Rob Terdiman, died Sunday, two days after suffering the stroke. He was 56.
Terdiman worked at WFGY-FM, Froggy 98, and co-hosted the weekday morning show with Kellie Green from 6 to 10 a.m. He worked at the radio station since the 1970s, including on the stations predecessor, WFGB radio.
Terdiman regularly visited area elementary schools to recite the pledge of allegiance with children that aired at 7 a.m. each day. He also hosted weddings, teen dances and other gigs outside his radio duties.
The station's program director, Donna Himes, said the radio host is "irreplaceable" as a home-grown personality and said, "our hearts are broken."
