Armed robbery reported at Cambria County store

Suspect ran away from store

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police in Cambria County were searching for the man responsible for trying to rob a Richland Township convenience store Tuesday morning.

Officials said the attempted robbery was reported around 8 a.m. at the Honey Bear Mini Mart on Elton Road.

Limited information was available about the robbery, but the person was identified as a man with black, curly hair who was wearing white shorts and a baseball cap, police said.

Police said the man did show employees a pistol, but did not get away with anything from the store.

Police said they were searching the surrounding neighborhoods for the suspect.
