Police: Arrest made in 2 bank robberies

Police: Person confessed to the robberies

EBENSBURG, Pa. -- Authorities have confirmed a person was taken into custody and confessed to robbing two banks in two counties over two days.

Officials confirmed to 6 News reporter Maria Miller that an individual was arrested Wednesday afternoon and confessed to robbing the S&T Bank in Armagh, Indiana County, on Tuesday and the First National Bank in Cresson, Cambria County, on Wednesday.

Cambria County emergency dispatch said the robbery at the First National Bank on Front Street in Cresson was reported just before 1 p.m.

There was limited information available about the Cresson robbery.

State police at Indiana reported the S&T Bank in Armagh was robbed about 10:30 a.m.

Police said the robber at the Armagh bank showed a three-inch knife while demanding money from tellers.

Officials said the alleged robber was located by State Police in Richland Township, Cambria County, on Wednesday afternoon. That persons name was not yet available.
