RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. Federal investigators were inside a Johnstown area technology firm Tuesday morning, but information regarding their presence remained unknown.

Concurrent Technologies Corporation spokeswoman Mary Bevan confirmed to 6 News that federal investigators were at the facility in Richland Township.

We dont know the nature of their visit, Bevan said.

Bevan said employees were being kept out of the building, but would possibly be allowed to return later in the day.

The company, also known at CTC, was first known as Metalwork Technology Inc. and was formed in 1987, according to the companys website.

In 1992 the company changed its name to Concurrent Technologies Corporation and is an independent, nonprofit, applied research and development professional services organization providing management and technology-based solutions to a wide range of clients representing state and federal government as well as the private sector, the website said.

CTC has offices through the United States and Europe and has been awarded millions of dollars in government contracts in the past decades, according to previous 6 News reports.
