By: WJAC Web Staff

BEDFORD, Pa. -- Law enforcement agencies from throughout Bedford County rounded up several alleged drug dealers Tuesday morning.

In what law enforcement officials called Operation Stocking Stuffer authorities combed the county with arrest warrants for 23 individuals.

Bedford County District Attorney Bill Higgins said the warrant services began at about 7 a.m. and those being sought were identified through an ongoing drug trafficking investigating that had begun in March.

Higgins said those arrested or being sought in the operation have been charged with dealing several drugs including heroin, marijuana and prescription pills.

Those with warrants ranged in age from 17 to 50 and included people from Bedford, Blair and Cambria counties, Higgins said.
