Community library creates space for teens

By: WJAC Web Staff

RICHLAND, Pa. -- A local community library has created a section just for teens.

The Highland Community Library in Richland created the space when many realized that young adults had nowhere to go after school.

The space will be available for homework and games as well as reading the latest teen fiction.

"As a teen that grew up in the local area I know there is not a lot to do around here," said Ashley Flynn from Highland Community Library. "I really wanted to meet the need I see in the community which is a place for teens and young adults to meet and hang out."

The library will celebrate the new space with a grand opening game night in February.
