By: Jackalyn Kovac

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- University of Pittsburgh Johnstown students gave up their

Saturday to help build a new play center for the Alternative Community Resource

Program on Chestnut Street in Johnstown.

Students put together various pieces for the facility, including flooring for

the indoor tree house.

"Its really a family atmosphere where parents can bring their children and

interact with them in a safe place to play," said ACRP Executive Director Frank

Janakovic.

The center is expected to open sometime in April and is connected to an outdoor

playground.
