Winter Weather Advisory

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7:00 AM Tuesday. Snow, will continue through tomorrow morning but taper to scattered snow showers tonight and tomorrow. Accumulations may reach 10" across parts of the region. The storm will be gone Wednesday clearing the way for some sunshine and a fresh blast of Arctic at the end of the week.

Cambria Co. man dies after crash

GALLITZIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- One man was killed after a pickup truck crossed the double yellow lines and drove into the path of a motorcycle around 9:30 p.m. Friday.   

Authorities said Edward Roudybush, 27, was driving on Route 53 in Gallitzin Township at a high speed when he failed to navigate a right curve in the road.

Police said Roudybush crossed the double lines and went into William Schwieters, 56, path who was driving a motorcycle.

Roudybush continued driving and hit a guardrail and left the east side of the road went down an embankment and overturned numerous times before stopping on the road, police said.

Police said Schwieters hit a guardrail and finally stopped underneath the guardrail.

Roudybush was transported to the Altoona Regional Hospital for his injuries.

Schwieters was pronounced dead on scene by the Cambria County coroner.

Police said Schwieters was wearing a helmet.

The investigation continues.
