Deputy charged with D.U.I.
By Erin Calandra
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. -- A Centre County Sheriff Deputy was charged with D.U.I. after crashing his truck into a house and a parked car, State Police said.
They said 32-year-old Bryan Cramer crashed into the home along Riverstone Lane in Zion on June 23rd.
Police said he knocked down all three posts holding up a porch causing thousands of dollars in damage.
According to the criminal complaint, Cramer drove off after the crash and then returned to the home. His blood alcohol content was .175, that's more than double the legal limit those court documents show.
Nate Black owns the house that was hit. He said he was sleeping on his couch when a car hit his house.
Black said he's disappointed the deputy is still on duty.
"I realize people make mistakes and due process but at the same time with him being a deputy you think people in county realize the more you cover it the worse its going to be, he said.
Sheriff Denny Nau denies any cover up. He said Cramer was demoted and could face more consequences pending a review of the case.
Cramer is expected to face a judge August 28th.
