Worker falls, badly injured while trimming trees in Centre County

By: Lauren Hensley

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- A 21-year-old man is seriously hurt after he fell 40 feet, face first-first to the ground Wednesday morning.

State College police said the man was trimming tree limbs along the 1100 block of Smithfield Circle when he fell. Police said the limb he was on suddenly broke and his chainsaw cut his safety line.

He was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center and later flown to a trauma center in the area. The man works for Asplundh. There is no word on his condition right now.
