Residents told to stay inside after overnight disturbance in State College

STATE COLLEGE, Pa.-- Residents of one community in State College are still wondering what happened last night after police cars show up in their neighborhood.

Residents living on Beaumont Drive and Circle Drive said police were knocking on doors around 11p11 p.m. Saturday, telling people to stay inside. Police tell 6News they got a phone call about an intruder inside one home along the 600-block block the house and the line was disconnected.

Police said the home had some damage and they found a black Ford Escape nearby. Police said the vehicle was reported stolen out of Philadelphia. Police still haven't made the connection between the car and what exactly happened.
