MORRIS TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police said a Clearfield County father is facing child endangerment charges after his daughter called them for help when she thought she was left home alone.

State police at Clearfield charges were filed against the 32-year-old father, who was not named, after police found him highly intoxicated and passed out around 4 a.m. Christmas morning.

Police said the 4-year-old girl called them, and following a long phone conversation, police were able to find the home along Morrisdale-Allport Highway in Morris Township.

Police said troopers searched the home and found the man. He was placed in the Clearfield County prison for a probation violation.

Police said their investigation was ongoing, and the girl was released to the care of her grandparents.
