Crash closes Rt. 219 in Elk County

Roadway closed for more than three hours

HORTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A crash closed a main roadway in Elk County Thursday morning.

Elk County emergency dispatch said the crash happened on Route 219 in Horton Township, outside of Brockport, Elk County.

A dispatcher said the crash happened at about 6:40 a.m. and was near the Elk and Jefferson counties line.

PennDOT reported the crash involved down utility lines.

The roadway reopened just before 11 a.m.

State police were investigating the crash and details about it were not immediately available.
