State police searching for two teenage girls

PORTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police in Huntingdon County are asking for the publics help in locating two teenagers who were last seen over the weekend.

State police at Huntingdon are looking for Sofia Alla Varner, 17, and Lyza Grace Spyker, 15, both of Alexandria, after they were reported missing by their families.

Police said they may be in a red 2006 Honda CRV with Pennsylvania registration JJD-2794. Varner is believed to be driving the vehicle and picked up Spyker sometime between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Neither girl returned home by Monday morning, prompting the families to contact police. Varner last used her cell phone at about 12:30 a.m. and used a bank card in the Hollidaysburg area around 1 a.m., police said. Her cell phone has since been registered inactive.
