Cambria Co. man battling Legionnaires' Disease

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. --

A Cambria County man said he tested positive for Legionnaires disease.

He's not sure where he contracted it, but he showed us a copy of his discharge papers from the hospital.

The disease is a form of pneumonia caused by bacteria known as legionella.

Most people get it from inhaling bacteria, and if it goes untreated it can be deadly.

The man said he reached out to the health department and is awaiting results on its investigation.
