By: Marc Stempka

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. Officials with the Pennsylvania Lottery reported Tuesday that a Cash 5 ticket worth hundreds of thousands of dollars was sold in Clearfield County.

Officials said the winning ticket was worth $225,000, less 25 percent withholdings, and correctly matched all five numbers, 06-07-23-28-36, in Mondays drawing.

The ticket was sold at the DuBois Giant Eagle at 100 N. Main St., officials said. The store will get a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.

Lottery personnel said they cannot confirm the winner of the prize until the ticket is claimed and validated. Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

The individual holding the winning ticket should sign the back of the ticket and call the lottery office at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at one of the agencys seven headquarters, officials said.

Lottery officials said in the 2012-2013 fiscal year, approximately $17.7 million in prizes were awarded to Clearfield County winners and more than $8.8 million was contributed to programs serving the countys older residents.
