SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A man was killed after colliding his car with a tractor-trailer hauling construction equipment in Centre County, police said.

Spring Township police said Donald Trulick, 65, of Bellefonte, was killed when his vehicle crashed into the underside of the tractor-trailer on East College Avenue (Route 64) at about 9 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the truck, described as a shingle grinder, was pulling on to the roadway when the crash occurred.

Police said Trulick died at the scene. The truck driver, William White, of Arkansas, was not injured.

Police said speed and alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash. Their investigation was ongoing on Friday.
