SUMMERHILL, Pa. -- Police are investigating after a man robbed a Cambria County convenience store Monday night.

State police at Ebensburg said a man went into the Country Mart Convenience Store in Summerhill just before 8 p.m., showed a gun, and demanded money and cigarettes.

Police said the man was between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, and was wearing dark clothing and a bandana.

The clerk gave the robber the cash register tray and a carton of cigarettes, police said. He then ran down Cypress Street to a waiting vehicle on Wendroth Avenue, where he was driven away.

Police said their investigation was ongoing and no other information was available.
