Shaping the Future Summit held at Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State faculty, leaders, staff and students are trying to addressing what the future may look like with the Shaping the Future Summit.

It is a series of panel roundtables, lectures, book discussions and other events including a keynote address by futurist, entrepreneur and author Peter Diamandis.

The focus of the inaugural summit is the impact of innovation.

"This would and can be made a better place if we work together if we bring our minds to it, and if we allow our students to ask questions, we can allow them to come up with the right answers," Dr. Christian Brady, Dean of the Schreyer Honors College said.

The Shaping the Future Summit has been a yearlong conversation and programs have been held throughout the year will leading up to the summit.
