Two arrested in suspected mobile meth lab in Reynoldsville
By: Lauren Hensley
REYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. -- A mobile meth lab, that's what police said a vehicle might be, as a clandestine lab team was called in around 4 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a vehicle parked as a gas station parking lot in Jefferson County.
Roads were closed along Main Street in Reynoldsville and all of the commotion drew out neighbors who were upset to learn the details.
"This isn't what Reynoldsville is supposed to be like because this is such a close-knit town, everybody knows each other, this is not what is supposed to be going on at all," Hally Baranick said.
State police said two people were arrested in relation to the suspect meth lab, but details about the arrest and their names were not released.
Specialty units worked for hours searching the vehicle. Some neighbors said news of drug-related activity in the area does not come as a surprise.
"It's not very shocking because there is a bunch of talk of people having this stuff everywhere, but it is pretty crazy," Chelsea Murray, of Reynoldsville, said.
Murray has a 2-year-old son and she said she doesn't want her child exposed to this kind of illegal activity.
"It's not good for the community, it makes me scared to raise my son here and I don't want to have him grow up in this area with all of this around," Murray said.
