FBI seeking info on suspected child sexual predator

Man known only as "John Doe 27"

By: Marc Stempka

PHILADELPHIA The FBI is seeking the publics help in identifying an unknown man who is suspected for sexually exploiting children.

The FBI said in a release Tuesday that officials identified the man known as John Doe 27 in pictures and video of him engaging in sexually explicit activities with children.

The images were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and are being circulated in numerous child pornography Internet forums, the FBI said.

Investigators said through image enhancement, the FBI and NCMEC have developed several clues to assist with the identification of John Doe 27. The man appears to be balding and possibly in his 40s or 50s with dark hair and dark eyes.

Investigators said the man wears a ring on his right finger and has a distinct plaid chair in many of the images.

Investigators said based on what can be heard in audio recordings, it is believed the man may have referred to himself as Jimmy.

The FBI said there are no specific details as to the whereabouts of the man in the United States.

Anyone with information about this individual is asked to submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov or call the FBIs toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

John Doe 27 is being sought as part of the FBIs Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program.
